Performance Testing

All Esco products are subject to a battery of airflow, filter, physical performance, electrical and other tests before shipment. Additional tests are performed on random samples on a statistical sampling basis in our R&D laboratories by independent teams, with results reported directly to Esco Senior Management. Some of the most common tests performed include:

• Airflow velocities
• Environmental tests: noise, light and vibration
• Filter integrity
• Air cleanliness
• Containment (KI discus)
• Electrical safety

Each product ships with an original factory test certificate and a detailed multi-page report detailing performance test methods and criteria. Critical tests may be repeated on-site after installation by our local service representatives. All factory test results are permanently archived for statistical analysis and variance control purposes.

Esco performs testing in accordance with more than 20 of the world's most recognized standards, of local, regional and international scopes. In particular, testing in our laboratory is most frequently conducted based on: NSF49, EN12469, JIS K3800, AS2252.2 and other international standards. An NSF-Accredited Biosafety Cabinet Field Certifier is available in-house full-time to supervise all in house measurement work.
