Esco at Arab Lab 2006(PDF)
Dubai, UAE ~ Esco participated in the Arab Lab and Instruments Exhibition held in Dubai, UAE between the 13-17 February. We displayed the Labculture Class II A2 Biological Safety Cabinet (LA2-4A1), Labculture Vertical Laminar Flow Cabinet (LVC-4A1), Frontier Duo Fume Hood (EFD-4A1) and the Streamline Plus Ductless Fume Cabinet (SPD-3A1).
The largest laboratory products and instruments show in the region with 700 over exhibitors, the exhibition was attended by more than 10,000 visitors over the 4 days. Customized Labculture Cytotoxic cabinet for Radioisotope works (PDF)
Singapore ~ Esco is proud to announce the successful completion of a Labculture® Cytotoxic cabinet customized upon a customer request to shield against radioactive particles. During procedures which involve works with moderate amounts of radioactive particles, the cabinet has to ensure protection to the laboratory personnel from radiation. For this purpose, the cabinet's internal single-piece stainless steel wall was lined with an internal layer of lead, and the tempered glass of the front sash was replaced with potassium silicate glass or lead glass for operator protection from possible radiation. ...(click on the title to view the complete news in PDF format)

EU Directives - WEEE and RoHS (PDF)
Singapore ~ The European Union (EU) has enacted two Directives, the first on product recycling (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment, WEEE) and the second limiting the use of certain substances (Restriction on the use of Hazardous Substances, RoHS). The second version airflow sensors will feature temperature compensation previously available only on Esco Labculture® Class II Type A2 Biological Safety Cabinets.
