Airstream® Horizontal Laminar Flow Cabinet with Stainless Steel Interior (230V)
Stainless steel interior version of our Airstream horizontal laminar flow cabinet models. The 100% stainless steel interior provides better cleanability of the work zone. Class 100 (US Fed Std 209E) product protection with ULPA filter 99.999% at 0.12 microns and pre-filter. Built-in tempered glass sides, external rotor motor system, variable speed control. All other specifications are the same as the standard Airstream horizontal laminar flow cabinet models.

Product Information

- The clean bench interior is constructed of stainless steel,
making the work zone easy to clean. The interior surface
will not chip, rust or generate particles.
- The spillage-retention work top design with a recessed
central area ensures that all liquid spills are contained.
- The ergonomically designed work surface with a curved
front edge is designed for maximum operator comfort. A
raised edge at the back of the work zone prevents spills from
damaging the filter.
- Built-in warm white, electronically ballasted, 5000k lighting
provides excellent illumination of the work zone and reduces
operator fatigue. The reliable lighting system is zero-flicker
and instant start.
- The removable perforated filter diffuser on all models
provides protection to the filter and improves airflow
uniformity. On the horizontal flow benches, the diffuser
provides additional protection in the event of an accidental
spillage and is easy to clean.
- High quality ULPA filters, utilizing an improved mini-pleat
separation technique to maximize surface area, improve
efficiency and extend filter life. Filters operate at a typical
efficiency of >99.999% at 0.1 to 0.3 micron sizes, providing
superior product protection over conventional HEPA filters.
- A built-in solid state variable speed
controller (infinitely adjustable from
zero to the maximum setting) with
built-in RFI and noise filters is superior
to conventional "step" controllers.
- Esco Horizontal Laminar Flow Clean
Benches models have been type tested
to EN12469:2000 for crosscontamination
and product protection
using microbiological testing methods.
Cabinet Airflow Profile

-
Room air is taken in from the top of the clean
bench through a disposable pre-filter with
85% arrestance; this serves to trap larger
particles and increase the life of the main
filter.
-
Air is forced evenly across the ULPA fi lter(s); the
result is a stream of clean laminar air within
the work zone of the clean bench; this dilutes
and fl ushes all airborne contaminants from the
interior.
-
A nominal filter face velocity of 0.45 m/s or 90
fpm ensures that there is a suffi cient number
of air changes within the enclosed area of the
clean bench in order to maintain cleanliness.
-
The purified air travels across the working
zone of the clean bench in a horizontal,
unidirectional stream and leaves the main
work chamber across the entire open front of
the clean bench.
