Esco takes our responsibility to your safety and protection seriously - and we believe that we have one of the finest programs in place in the industry to deliver on that promise.

Safety begins during the design phase. Esco engineers, scientists and consultants consider all angles of the safety equation. From simulating real-world operating conditions, computer modelling, predictive failure analysis, stress testing to adverse environmental conditions, and more. Our world-leading market positions allow us to maintain one of the largest R&D teams in the industry, working towards raising the bar each day.

Containment testing is used extensively to qualify all new designs. Esco is able to perform containment testing using microbiological, aerosol / particulate and chemical challenges to simulate all possible operating scenarios. In-house Esco test criteria in many cases exceeds the requirements of all published international standards. Esco is the only manufacturer in the world to publish the results of such increased severity testing performed on our biological safety cabinets.

Safety is enforced strictly during manufacturing and final assembly. All finished products are subject to a battery of airflow, filter, physical performance, electrical and other tests before shipment. Additional tests are performed on random samples on a statistical sampling basis in our R&D laboratories by independent teams, with results reported directly to Esco Senior Management.

Our most important link with our customers are our field sales reps. These professionals are well trained, responsive, and able to provide information on safe work practices. Esco has also produced a wide range of videos, posters, booklets and other materials with information on working safely in any biological safety cabinet. Esco conducts training courses and seminars at many locations around the world on a regular basis. We are regular participants at the American Biological Safety Association, European Biosafety Association, Asia-Pacific Biosafety Association and other industry fora.
