Technical Support

Esco does not simply sell products - we sell you a company with more than 400 people working for you everyday to provide innovative solutions to your specific requirements. Our technical support capabilities are further strengthened by our network of international distributors, in more than 60 countries.

1. Field testing and certification

All laminar flow and Biological Safety Cabinets must be field tested and certified under the following conditions:
- Before first use
- When the cabinet is relocated
- When the user suspects any malfunction
- When the filters are replaced
- At least once per year (more often for certain applications)

Field testing involves a series of measurements and checks (airflow velocities, filter condition, light, noise, vibration, containment tests etc.) to ensure the cabinet meets the specified physical performance criteria. While all products shipped from Esco are extensively factory tested, field testing is important to ensure the filter has not been damaged during installation, and that local environmental conditions have not affected cabinet performance. It is also required for compliance to international standards and norms. Esco offers field testing services through our network of distributors, directly via our dedicated Technical Support Team. We can also refer you to an independent third-party certifier in your location where available.

2. Technical support / warranty service

All of Esco's exclusive distributors are extensively trained and are able to provide local technical / troubleshooting support / warranty service if any problems occur with your cabinet. Our dedicated factory Technical Support Team is also available via email, or 24 hour phone support (a prior appointment must be made via email). Common replacement parts are usually stocked by our distributors. If not, they can also be shipped from Esco typically within 48 hours of your request.

3. Application advice / user training

Esco offers a comprehensive user training program. Scheduled courses are conducted year-round at our headquarters. Please refer to our Training Workshops for more information. Courses may also be conducted in your country by your local distributor, occassionally also with a factory representive. We also offer unlimited technical advice via email.

4. Technical support for certifiers

Obtaining a lost factory test report: all original factory test data is individually filed by serial number for all cabinets produced. Replacement test data can be sent via email on request.
