Testing FacilityEsco is committed to delivering quality products to our customers. The Singapore Headquarters accommodates our own in-house testing facility; all purchased materials are randomly checked within this facility to ensure their conformance to our standards. All manufactured products are subsequently transported from our production facility to our Singapore headquarters for a final quality check, laundry procedure (if applicable) and testing. Items tested in this facility are randomly selected from each customer order. Helmke Drum TestAfter every wash, your apparel will be tested in our cleanroom testing facility to determine the level of particle contamination on the apparel. Our helmke drum test is performed according to the international standard IES-RP-CC-003-87-T. The helmke drum test is conducted by tumbling the samples (randomly selected from each customer order) in a stainless steel drum while particle counts are taken in the air above it to determine the number of residual particles on the apparel after washing. Acceptance Level Classification Chart (IES-PR003-87T)
Static Decay TestThe Static Decay Test measures the time required for the garment to dissipate a static charge of 5,000 volts to 50 volts. This test is one of the important criteria for ESD performance of a material. Our in-house testing facility performs Static Decay Test randomly on each customer order, in accordance to the ASTM D257 international standard. Sleeve-to-Sleeve Resistivity TestElectrical resistivity influences the accumulation and dissipation of electrostatic charge. Our Sleeve- to-Sleeve Resistivity Test is conducted for each customer order according to the international standard ESO/ESD-511-11-1993. The apparel is selected randomly and sent for testing to ensure that the resistivity of the apparel is within the acceptable range (105 - 109 ohm). Body Box TestHumans are one of the primary sources of contamination within a cleanroom. The human body generates particles even when the person is at rest. Our Body Box Test determines the number of particles released into the cleanroom environment from a fully-gowned subject performing specific movements. This test determines the filtration performance of our cleanroom apparel.
